- Discount can not be used towards any outstanding or new laybuys or laybuy payments.
- Credit notes or gift cards can not be used.
- Gift cards can not be purchased at 20% off.
- No returns or exchanges.
- Discount can not be used towards freight or installation charges.
Returns, exchanges & refunds
The Design Hunter is more than happy to accept exchanges or exchange for store credit as long as the following terms are met:
- The Design Hunter must be notified by email within the first 3 days of receiving your item, explaining you would like to exchange your purchase.
- The item will need to be returned with original tags and packaging, to The Design Hunter, within 14 days of receiving the goods. Postage and handling in this situation will be at the expense of the customer.
- Sale items are not exchangeable or refundable.
Gift vouchers & credit notes
All gift vouchers purchased from The Design Hunter are valid for 12 months from the purchase date.
All credit notes approved are valid for use in store only for a period of 3 months from the date of purchase. Credit notes may not be used in a SALE.
Special order items
Unfortunately, special order items, which have been arranged by a specific customer request, cannot be returned or exchanged, as they are ordered by customer request, unless of course, the product is faulty, in which case The Design Hunter must be contacted immediately.
Special order items may take between 1 and 12 weeks to be delivered, depending on the product type and brand and also your location within Australia. Please confirm delivery dates with The Design Hunter before placing an order.
A deposit of 30% of the total purchase price is required to commence a layby and payments must be made on a fortnightly basis. The final balance of the layby must be paid, and all products collected, within 6 weeks from the date of your initial purchase.
Failure to complete the layby within the specified time will result in the layby being cancelled and a 30% cancellation fee will be incurred. The customer may cancel the layby within the 6 week period, however a cancellation fee of 30% of the total value will apply. Layby items cannot be exchanged or refunded once the layby has been made. There are no returns, exchanges or refunds on layby items.
In the unlikely event of receiving a faulty item, please contact us immediately to discuss its repair or replacement, by either phoning 02 9369 3322 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Orders and Pricing
All orders placed through our store and or web site are subject to confirmation and acceptance by The Design Hunter.
The Design Hunter may vary prices. In the event of price changes you may cancel your order by giving notice via email to The Design Hunter at email@example.com, which must be received within seven days of the announcement of the increase. For each online order, you must pay the applicable price for the relevant goods confirmed by The Design Hunter; and the delivery and handling fee specified on the web site at that time.
The Design Hunter or its agent will deliver the goods you order to the address you specify in your order, within the agreed time frame, subject to their availability. Where the goods are not available you will be notified of this by The Design Hunter as soon as possible. Anyone at the delivery address who receives the goods will be presumed by The Design Hunter to be authorised to receive the goods. If there is no-one at the delivery address or no-one of appropriate age to receive an order, The Design Hunter may charge you additional delivery fees. Once the goods are delivered to you, you will own them and it is your responsibility if they are lost or damaged.
Your Email Address
You agree to take responsibility for the safekeeping of your E-Mail address. You are liable if your E-Mail address is used by an unauthorised person. You agree to release and indemnify The Design Hunter in connection with any use (whether authorised or unauthorised) of your E-Mail address. The Design Hunter may suspend or cancel your account at any time without prior notice.
The Design Hunter aims to include up-to-date pictures of all of the goods on this web site. However, in some cases, the picture of the goods may differ from the actual goods.
We recommend you read the labels on the goods or the product information carefully before using the goods.
The Design Hunter will not reveal your personal information to external organisations except for the purposes of fulfilling your order.
Your order and credit card details are safe and secure. All personal and credit card information provided to The Design Hunter is encoded using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, an encryption protocol that protects data as it travels over the Internet.
At this stage we can only accept payments using the methods stated in the. We are unable to accept COD charges. Payment must be cleared before the goods are dispatched. Prices and range on this web site may vary from The Design Hunter commercial sales pricing.
Any liability of The Design Hunter in connection with goods or services supplied to you will, subject to any non-excludable liability for breach of conditions or warranties implied by legislation and to the maximum extent permitted by law, at the election of The Design Hunter be limited to:
in relation to goods, the replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods; and in relation to services, the supplying of the services again or the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
Changes to terms
Each order is governed by the terms and conditions current when the order is placed. The Design Hunter may add to, delete or otherwise change these terms and conditions without notice. It is your responsibility to read and understand these terms and conditions each time you place an order.
All purchases under this web site and these terms and conditions are subject to the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
At present we are not able to accept web payments made with a non Australian credit card, given the limitations that we face in establishing that the user of the card is legitimate. Payments from overseas customers are accepted via Electronic Funds Transfer.
Payment is expected upon collection or in advance of delivery. Identification may be requested when collecting goods. Payment details shall be finalised prior to dispatch unless you have an approved account.
Delivery address and contact details
When placing an order with us, where we are to deliver goods to you, we require a physical street address. To assist us in processing your order, please provide your land-line phone number. Delivery is via courier and cannot be to a Post Office Box. Please note that an authorised signatory needs to be at the delivery address to sign for and collect the goods.
All orders will be dispatched within 2 business days and shipping times are estimated at between 3-7 business days depending on your location within Australia.
We deliver Australia wide. All shipping costs will be added to the order total prior to checkout. All orders are subject to availability. In the unlikely event that your order can not be fulfilled, you will be notified via email or phone and the item will be subtracted from your order.
For international delivery please contact The Design Hunter with the products you would like to order and a full shipping address. We will get back to you within 24 hours with a quote and ETA.

In-store decorating in available complimentary for customers. This service is aimed at assisting clients with the existing product available in-store and from our network of suppliers. It distinctly different from our in-home services which is a more comprehensive service, often layered with interior design. In-home services are a fee for service option. Existing design clients/in-home clients are not entitled to access the complimentary in-store services as these elements of design will be layered within their design services contract.
